DESCRIPTION:Living in the Pacific Northwest\, no matter how gorgeous the surroundings\, brings a variety of vegetable and fruit growing challenges. Come discuss tips for successfully combating current gardening difficulties. Walk along with Clallam County Master Gardeners and learn how best to maximize tomato harvests\, protect plants from our fluctuating weather and how to continue late plantings for overwintering crops. Meet at the Fifth Street Community Garden\, located at 328 E Fifth Street\, Port Angeles. Garden is just off Peabody across from City Hall where there is ample parking for the Saturday event. The walk is free and open to the public and occur rain or shine from 10 to 11:30 am and will continue through September 13.
