Her work captures the energy of waves moving toward shore\, particularly in the morning light\, while celebrating the birds\, water creatures\, animals\, and natural objects that inhabit this ecosystem. Her goal is to capture the magic and vitality of this ever-changing environment.\n\nHembree explores the relationships between land\, shore\, and sea places where they meet\, overlap\, and transform one another. She uses natural materials\, color\, and texture to express these connections and the ways nature's elements interact.\n\nTogether\, Hiestand and Hembree offer complementary perspectives on the shoreline\, inviting viewers to notice the movement\, life\, relationships\, and transformations that occur where these natural worlds come together.\n\nBoth artists will be present in the gallery on Oct 2nd for First Friday Art Walk\, from 5pm to 8pm.
