DESCRIPTION:Join Holistic Nutrition Educator Julia Buggy on Saturday\, January 28 at 10:30 am at Nash's Farm Store\, 4681 Sequim-Dungeness Way in Dungeness\, for a talk on "Getting the Most from your Winter Veggies." She will focus on five vegetables that help keep you healthy in the cold months of the year--kale\, collards\, carrots\, beets\, and leeks--including tips on how to eat them to gain maximum health benefits. The talk is free and open to the public. Buggy received her raw chef certification through Alissa Cohen's Living on Live Food Program in 2009\, and as a pre-med student at Arizona State University she had the opportunity to study nutrition and anatomy. At Bauman College she graduated as a Holistic Nutrition Educator in 2011. She has worked as a counselor at Oasis of Healing oncology clinic in Mesa\, AZ\, working with patients on lifestyle changes\, supplements and detoxification\, and has taught raw food classes at Whole Foods Markets in Chandler\, AZ\, and Encinitas\, CA\, from 2006 to 2013. Since coming to the Northwest\, Julia Buggy has been teaching yoga at the Old Dungeness Schoolhouse and in Port Angeles\, and has given several talks at Nash's Farm Store on juicing and cooking for health
