His dedication to perfecting his craft has earned him numerous accolades\, including second place in Penticton's amateur division in 2009 and a finalist spot in the professional category in 2010. He continued to excel\, securing second place at the Seattle Elvis Invitational 2012 and 2013\, and ultimately winning first place with his rendition of "Suspicious Minds" in 2014. This victory crowned him "The King" as Seattle's Best Amateur Elvis.\n\nBret resides in West Seattle with his wife Judy and their two cats. Their three boys are grown. While he maintains his career as an architect\, his passion for Elvis keeps him performing during weekends. Bret told us\, "When you flip the letters of Elvis around you get the word "lives"?
