SUMMARY:Wildflower Walks in the Lower Dungeness (Easy)
DESCRIPTION:In this series\, you will learn how to identify native plants and observe how plant communities change throughout the season. Witness the transformation from early bloomers to late bloomers\, to setting seeds. Feel free to sign-up for a walk each month or attend only one! This spring we will offer a NEW easier walk on the Dungeness River Trails in Sequim as an alternative option to our moderate wildflower walks in the Lower Dungeness. There are tons of wildflowers and plants to check-out\, but more ways to make the trip accessible. We will work with the group to map out a route\, including the distance. Note: although the trails are level and flat they are not ADA. Hikes will be led by wildflower expert John Bridge and Montana Napier\, the Education Manager at the River Center. These classes will start at 1pm and end around 3pm. Bring layers\, water\, snacks\, and come prepared to carpool to the Dungeness Trails system from the River Center. More detailed instructions will be emailed to participants. You will learn how to identify different species\, look closely into nature\, and enjoy the sounds\, sights\, and smells of our big\, beautiful backyard!
