2025 Home Orchard Series - New Tree Planting and Pruning Grapes and Kiwi

Join Clallam County Master Gardeners and the Olympic Orchard Society for the 2025 Home Orchard Series class New Tree Planting and Pruning Grapes and Kiwi on March 12th at the Dungeness River Nature Center, 1943 W. Hendrickson Rd., Sequim, 6 – 8:00 p.m. The first half of this class will focus on the current recommendations for getting young trees off to a good start so that they develop strong healthy root systems and strong branch structures. Planting both bare root and containerized trees as well as pruning and training young trees will be discussed. The second half will be devoted to getting the best fruit when growing grapes and kiwi on a trellis system. This class will discuss options for trellises and proper pruning to keep these fruit both manageable and productive. Registration is $10 per class. Register early!
