Description
Gary Stroutsos will bring his meditative flute music to the Sequim Branch Library during Sequim’s First Friday Art Walk. The music will begin at 6:30pm, but come early to check out the new art on display and meet featured artist Rae Powell-Walz; doors open at 6pm. Refreshments will be served, and limited library services will be available during this free after-hours event. About Gary Stroutsos Gary Stroutsos’ live performances have captivated audiences around the world. His meditative flute music and time-honored stories evoke the lands and cultures that he has studied over the course of his 35-year career. Gary’s mission is to carry the music forward to future generations and to promote stewardship of diverse cultures and the natural environment. About Art in the Library The new Art in the Library exhibit features the fabric art of Rae Powell-Walz, and will be on display from October 5 through January 29. Inspired by the sights and sounds of the natural world, Rae Powell-Walz draws upon a background in both quilting and painting to create her fabric art. Her works celebrate color, freedom, and all of the senses. This free Art in the Library program is generously supported by the Friends of Sequim Library.
