Canine Costume Parade & Contest

The Port Ludlow Village Council is excited to announce its First Annual Canine Costume Contest to be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Just in time for Halloween, the fun will kick off at the Port Ludlow Marina located at 1 Gull Drive from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with the dog parade starting at 12:00 pm. Dog owners will dress their canines in amazing, comfortable costumes and follow a short parade route around the Marina, led by a Grand Marshall. Our esteemed judges will select a winner for each of the costume categories: Spookiest, Funniest, Most Creative, Double Trouble (2 dogs), and Best Duo/Trio (owners and dogs in costumes). At least one prize will be awarded in each category. There will also be an online pet photo contest prior to the event, in which any type of pet may be entered. The community will vote online for the People’s Choice Award and the winner of the best pet photo will be announced at the parade. Please visit the Port Ludlow Village Council’s website for all the information, including contest rules, submission of the online pet photo contest, and online registration. Registration will also be available on the day of the parade. This free community-wide event is generating enthusiasm and more information about vendors and sponsors will follow. Even if you are not participating in the contest, come out and enjoy the event, stop by our famous bake sale table, or visit the animal shelter representatives who will be on site.
