The Dungeness River Nature Center invites the community to attend the 2026 Dungeness River Festival on Friday, September 25, a free event celebrating the natural and cultural resources of the Dungeness Watershed through hands-on learning, interactive exhibits, and family-friendly activities.
The festival will be held at the Dungeness River Nature Center from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The morning portion of the event will welcome local school groups, with the general public invited to participate from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to explore the story of the Dungeness Watershed through engaging demonstrations and educational exhibits presented by organizations dedicated to conservation, stewardship, recreation, and scientific discovery. Participating exhibitors will include the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, NOAA, Olympic National Park, Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe, Peninsula Trails Coalition, Back Country Horsemen, North Olympic Salmon Coalition, and over 20 other local and regional partners.
