First Teacher sets parent event to talk about COVID-19! Nurse Sonja Bittner will talk about COVID-19 health guidelines and considerations and masks at a First Teacher parent meeting on Zoom at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 3. This is an opportunity for parents/caregivers/guardians to get information about current health directives. During the event, participants may type in questions using the chat feature. Bittner, the Sequim School District’s nurse, encourages parents to refer on a regular basis to the district’s website (www.sequimschools.org) for updated information regarding health services, covering topics such as immunizations required for attending school, student health, face coverings during COVID-19, how to make a mask and more. The First Teacher program, a local nonprofit organization provided by Parenting Matters Foundation, offers resources for parents of young children.
