Description
2023 Independence Day Celebration in Sequim
Please join the City of Sequim for an Independence Day Celebration in Sequim on Tuesday, July 4 at the Water Reuse Site at Carrie Blake Park, 202 N. Blake Avenue. This year’s event coincides with Music in the Park, a free concert series offered every Tuesday evening from June 27 to August 29, co-sponsored by the City of Sequim and Sequim Community Broadcasting/KSQM Radio. The Sequim City Band will kick off the celebration at 3:00 p.m. with a free concert at the James Center for the Performing Arts. The Buck Ellard Band will perform at 6:00 p.m. followed by Black Diamond Junction at 8:00 p.m. The event will culminate with 15-minute fireworks show at 10:00 p.m. Food and beverages will be available onsite for purchase.
Parking is available in the Water Reuse Park, Carrie Blake Park, Trinity United Methodist Church on Blake Road, Olympic View Church of God on Brown Road, and the QFC parking lot.
Plan to spend some time in Carrie Blake Park and enjoy the many amenities available including horseshoe pits, Bocce ball court, shuffleboard, gardens, off-leash dog park, pickleball courts, playground, ponds, and more. The Sequim community is reminded that the discharge of consumer fireworks is banned within the Sequim City limits. Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring a camp chair or a blanket and enjoy the community celebration.
