Description
Join the Land Trust and Port Angeles Fine Arts Center for the unveiling of the artistic sign created by local artist Nathan Shields at a community reception from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 20th. Together, we’ll celebrate community collaboration and creative expression of place. Executive directors of the partnering organizations will talk about the importance of incorporating art into our urban spaces and reflecting a love for where we live whenever possible. Nathan will share insight into his inspiration for the signage and the challenges and successes of creating both a functional sign as well as a piece of art intended to warmly welcome all those that visit the Land Trust. During the event, some other nature inspired works of art will be on display, including linocut prints Nathan has created for a book project called “In Alaska”. Light snacks will be provided and wine by the glass will be available for purchase.
