Description
What’s your favorite John Denver song? The 2023 Music in the Park concert series continues at 6PM this Tuesday, July 11th at the James Center for the Performing Arts band shell! John Hoover and the Mighty Quinns (John Hoover, Bruce Webb, Dick Sorensen and James Maltos) perform a tribute to the songs, music and spiritual connection of John Denver. Playing guitars, mandolin, percussion and bass, the Quinns present a fully energized performance true to the messages of peace, understanding and reverence for the earth and environment that made Denver’s music so special.
Denver’s best known hits such as “Rocky Mountain High” and “Annie’s Song” are featured, along with many lesser known but equally deserving Denver songs. John Hoover also liberally incorporates his own originals seamlessly into a continuous 2-3 hours of music (the full band rarely takes a break). In 2023, the band will continue to appear throughout the PNW from Sequim, WA to Chico, CA.
Music in the Park is a unique opportunity for you to enjoy live music starting at 6PM on Tuesday evenings in Carrie Blake Park at the James Center for the Performing Arts, 350 North Blake Ave, Sequim. This event is produced by KSQM 91.5 FM your listener-supported, commercial free community radio and the Sequim City Arts Advisory Commission.
The Food Court will be available to quench both your thirst and your appetite. Vendors include: Sequim Valley Lions Hot Dogs, NW Cold Treats, Ulivo Pizzeria.
Hope to see you at 6PM to enjoy John Hoover and the Mighty Quinns!
