RICHARD WORKMAN
THE FOLK ARTIST
Born on August 4, 1962, the day Marilyn passed. Richard attended high school in Florence, Montana. In 1980 he won the J.E.A (Journalism Education Association) for editorial cartooning in Seattle Washington. He attended Montana State University with an art scholarship, then served overseas in the US Navy as a mess specialist. In 1988 he became a T-Shirt Artist in Missoula, MT after learning the art of screen printing. His work has been published in various newspapers, magazines and frequently on coast to coast website. Richard is the author and illustrator of Big Foot Can’t Dance. Currently he is working as an interior design artist for various restaurants in the Port Angeles, WA. area and shows his work at One of a Kind Gallery in Port Angeles where he gives workshops in woodburning.
Richard will be demonstrating how he designs and creates his wood burning pieces.
