Description
The Opening Reception for Field Notes will be an evening dedicated to the practice of careful observation and artistic reflection. The exhibition captures fleeting encounters with birds and transforms them into enduring works of art. The public is invited to join us at 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd. to celebrate the opening of the exhibition on Friday, April 10th from 5PM-7PM.
Field Notes is a visual homage to the birds of the Pacific Northwest—an exhibition in which art, observation, and reverence for the natural world converge. Inspired by the legacy of John James Audubon and deeply rooted in the unique ecology of this region, the exhibition brings together artists whose work engages with birds not only as subjects of beauty, but also as powerful symbols of migration, resilience, environmental change, and ecological interconnectedness.
Light bites will be provided, and beverages will be available for purchase. Guests will also have the opportunity to hear from an invited speaker with expertise in the study of birds, offering additional perspective on the themes explored in the exhibition.
This event is free and open to the public. For additional details about the exhibition and related programming, please visit www.pafac.org.
