Description
Enjoy jazz on a summer evening behind the Sequim Branch Library! There is nothing like watching live music while lying on a blanket in the grass, gazing at the Olympic mountains in the background, chatting with friends, and enjoying the feeling of being part of a small town community. Shows take place on the outdoor stage behind the Sequim Branch Library. In the event of rain or inclement weather, concerts will be held inside the Library. Jenny Davis is a jazz vocalist, composer, arranger and international performing artist with a deep joy for music. Delivering powerful musicianship, lush vocals, and passionate honesty, Jenny Davis garners critical praise. “She is the kind of singer that gets deep into a song and makes you feel the lyrics.” (Jazz Times). A 25-year veteran of straight-ahead jazz she actively performs throughout the U.S., Europe, and Canada. Jenny will be joined by award-winning flugelhornist Dmitri Matheny, jazz pianist George Radebaugh and Seattle area bassist Ted Enderle. Dmitri Matheny has been called “one of the most emotionally expressive improvisers of his generation” (International Review of Music).
