Description
Event Description: Join us for a special film screening of Inhabitants: An Indigenous Perspective. Featured guest speaker, Loni Grinnell-Greninger, Jamestown S'Klallam Tribal Council Vice Chair and Culture Director, will share about the Jamestown's vision of food sovereignty and traditional land management practices. Inhabitants follows five Native American communities as they restore their traditional land management practices in the face of a changing climate. For millennia Native Americans successfully stewarded and shaped their landscapes, but centuries of colonization have disrupted their ability to maintain these processes. From deserts, coastlines, forests, mountains, and prairies, Native communities across the US are restoring their ancient relationships with the land. This event will be held at the River Center inside of Rainshadow Hall. We recommend getting your tickets in advance to secure your spot.
