Description
Join North Olympic Land Trust at Olympic Lavender Company’s scenic Dungeness Heritage Farm for the second annual "Rock the Land Trust" – a community concert for local land conservation. Held on the largest USDA certified organic lavender farm on the North Olympic Peninsula, this special event is the place to be on Saturday evening during Sequim Lavender Weekend. Featuring an all local menu, the Peninsula’s premier Italian restaurant Bella Italia will kick things off at 5 p.m. with their famed salmon bake and barbeque. Starting at 6 p.m., dancing will commence to the joyous sounds of Joy in Mudville – a homegrown Olympic Peninsula, Americana, progressive old time bluegrass group. Rock the Land Trust aims to benefit North Olympic Land Trust and its mission to conserve lands that sustain the ecological, economic and social vitality of Clallam County. The Land Trust is dedicated to the conservation of open spaces, local food, local resources, healthy watersheds and recreational opportunities. Within its 27-year history, the Land Trust has helped to protect and permanently conserve more than 3,300 acres for farms, fish and forests. In support of local land conservation, a portion of the proceeds from the suggested $10 entrance fee per adult will benefit North Olympic Land Trust. Please note: Suggested entrance fee does not include dinner and drinks.
