The Sequim Accordion Social will be held at the Sequim Shipley Center at 921 E. Hammond Street on Sunday, May 20th, from 1 to 4 pm. A $2-3 admission donation is requested at the door to pay for the room. The Featured Player is David Emter from Eatonville, WA. Join fellow accordion players, enthusiasts and dancers for an afternoon of music and fun. Players of ALL levels are encouraged to bring their accordion and play 1-3 pieces. The intent of the social is to have a supportive and friendly atmosphere, where players can play and everyone can enjoy some great music. David Emter became interested in playing the diatonic button accordion after retiring from a 33 year career with the U.S. Air Force. Because he grew up in North Dakota, waltz and polka music are his favorites, and he came from a family with many well known musicians in the North Dakota music community David lives near Eatonville, WA. We are honored to have him coming all this way to join us in Sequim.
