Description
The Sequim Accordion Social will be held at the Sequim Shipley Center at 921 E. Hammond Street on Sunday, May 21st, from 1 to 4 pm. A $2-3 admission donation is requested at the door to pay for the room. The Featured Player is John Giuliani, from Renton, WA. All players should bring their accordion and a song or two to play, and accordion lovers and dancers are invited to attend for some great music. John was very excited to start taking accordion lessons in 2nd grade because of his Dad being an accordionist with his own combo. He took lessons from his Dad's good friend and previous accordion teacher, Al Fabre. In 7th grade he also began playing the string bass and had his first gig with his Dad's combo at age 13. He has continued to perform ever since. John went on to get a Music Education degree and taught high school band and choir for a few years in the public schools. Today, he plays gigs, teaches private lessons, and enjoys substitute teaching.
