Sequim City Band presents “Origins: Composers Across Cultures”

Description

The program offers a cacophony of musical stylings that reflect each composer’s culture and tradition, from festive Latin marches and Caribbean rhythms to cinematic Japanese soundscapes and folk-inspired suites. The concert also features “Faia,” an imaginative work by local composer Signe Crawford, that traces Earth’s journey from the first sparks of creation to the rich complexity of life today. Plus! The PAHS Band Boosters will host a bake sale to support the travel needs of the Port Angeles High School Band — a sweet way to enjoy the music and give back!
