Primary Role: The Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County Boutique Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a new store scheduled to tentative-open on November 15, 2018 in Sequim, Washington. The boutique store is a retail business that sells donated furniture and home décor items at discounted prices to generate revenue to support Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County in its mission to build homes, communities and hope. The boutique supervisor is responsible for marketing and sale of quality donated items of a volume necessary to achieve sales targets, training and supervision of volunteers and student Interns, and completing/complying with financial reporting processes.

Operational:

Promote donations drive sales and profits of the Habitat Boutique Store to provide sustainable funding to support Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County’s mission.

Implement strategies to achieve the goals and objectives identified in the affiliate’s Boutique Store Business Plan.

Work with Port Angeles Store staff to develop marketing and advertising programs to build store’s visibility in the community.

Establish and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors, including contractors, suppliers, individuals, businesses, community and church groups to increase quality and quantity of merchandise donations.

Establish, implement and review policies and procedures for the safe, secure and high quality Performance of all aspects of Habitat Store activities.

Oversee the effective merchandising of the floor, maximizing available display space and use inventory control and pricing to ensure appropriate turnover of merchandise.

Develop relationships with other area Habitat Store managers to identify “best practices” and programs that are mutually beneficial.

Attend and participate in Habitat Store-related training opportunities, including monthly Staff meeting in Port Angeles.

Supervise and train Habitat Boutique Sequim HS Intern staff; establish annual performance goals for each and monitor performance results, formally reporting results. Guide and assist volunteers in their work, understanding that each is an individual with different capabilities.

Train new Sequim HS Interns to deliver high quality, consistent customer service experience in the Habitat Boutique Store and ensure issues are professionally resolved and reported in a timely basis.

Ensure that all areas of the store,rest rooms, and storerooms are clean and safe.
