Classification: Full Time (40-hour work week | Monday-Friday)
WA, Clallam County – Resource Development Manager (RDM)
Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County is seeking a Resource Development Manager to start
immediately. This individual will be responsible for helping increase the resource and
fundraising capacity of Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County through various marketing,
outreach strategies, and campaigns.
In particular, the RDM will increase the fundraising capability to accomplish fund development
and capacity-building initiatives identified in the organization’s 5-year plan. The RDM reports to
the Affiliate Chief Executive Officer.
SUMMARY:
HFHCC seeks an experienced, mission-driven, relationship builder and strategist to join our
Habitat team as the RDM. The ideal candidate will have at least three years in Resource
Development and Fundraising and be a “go-getter”. The manager will be responsible for
designing, implementing, and managing the resource development strategies.
In addition, the RDM will forge and/or maintain solid relationships in the community, including
individuals, businesses, churches, organizations, and foundations. The candidate will lead the
team in advancing fund constituency in support of Habitat Clallam’s vision: A world where
everyone has a decent place to live.
Duties:
? Implement the development strategic goals defined in our 5-year strategic plan.
? Be responsible for the implementation of the Affiliate capital campaign.
? Analyze current programs and fundraising activities and identify benchmarks for
subsequent measurement.

? Draft a comprehensive annual plan with a donor cultivation and solicitation program to
increase unrestricted and restricted funding.
? Coordinate with the CEO for fundraising campaigns and events.
? Represent Habitat at public events and in other contexts as needed.
? Generate new programs, campaigns, and ideas to increase community support.
? Define and maintain our Affiliate brand, both as an individual entity as well as part of a
larger, global organization, through positioning, graphics, and content focus.
? Develop materials, content, and tools for promoting programs, assisting retail operations,
and raising funds; including website, newsletter, brochures, campaign materials, videos,
and homeowner and donor testimonials.
? Identify and pursue sources of corporate and foundation funding. Sustain existing
relationships.
? Develop, cultivate, and implement major donor solicitation and gift plans.
? Identify new grant opportunities, author grants of <$10K and assist in grants of >$10K.
? Direct and support the fundraising efforts of the Board, Staff, and Committees.
? Manage the effective use of Habitat’s database relating to donors, donor recognition,
fundraising, and volunteer activity.
? Provide accurate development reports to the Chief Executive Officer and Board.
? Collaborate with other departments and team members when needed.
Qualifications:
? 3-5 years of resource development experience, ideally in a non-profit organization,
including annual fundraising and external communications.
? Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and make effective recommendations to the Staff
and Board
? Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse workforce with varying levels of experience
? Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate
? Understanding of best practices for database management and reporting
? Physically must be able to lift 50 pounds
? Must have a valid WA driver’s license, pass a background check and drug test, and
provide three references.
Compensation and Benefits
Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County strives to foster a collaborative, supportive, and

Compensation is $24-$29 hourly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Hours and Benefits: Workweek Monday through Friday, primarily based in Port Angeles;
some work outside normal business hours is expected. Mondays are remote days. Medical
benefits are offered at 75% paid by Habitat Clallam and 25% paid by the employee, dental
and vision are offered 100% paid by Habitat Clallam, and family benefits are available at the
employee’s expense.
Flexible hours with occasional evening and weekend work required
12 Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, MLK Jr. Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial
Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and the day after, Christmas
Day, and (Christmas Break). Monthly accrued vacation and sick time, plus three personal
days per year.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background check,
credit check, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
