Description
The Olympic Peninsula Men’s Chorus will be presenting “Free Singing Lessons For Men” starting on May 9 and continuing for 4 weeks. Lessons will be 1 hour each week starting at 6:30 at Olympic Theatre Arts at 414 North Sequim Ave. in Sequim. There are no tryouts, men of all ages are welcome to attend, and all lessons are free of charge. Participants can come to as many of the lessons as they choose. The lessons will be led by Kyra Humphrey, a local voice teacher. You will be learning Healthy Singing, Finding Your Range, Singing in Close Harmony and Tuning. Kyra is a Washington native, born in Spokane, where she attended Gonzaga University. She continued her education at the University of Washington, where she completed her M.M. in Vocal Performance in 1983. She was on the voice faculty at Northwest College in Kirkland, maintained a full-time private vocal studio in Seattle, performed regularly as a soloist with Pacific Northwest Ballet and the Seattle Choral Company, and was director of contemporary music at St. Monica Catholic Church on Mercer Island.
